Siin on Äripäeva ajakirjanikul Aivar Hundimäel absoluutselt õigus, Aivar Otsalt oli mees, kes aitas sillutada Reformi edu mitte ainult Tartus, vaid kogu Eestis. Ansip püüab end nüüd kavalalt Otsaltist distantseerida, aga siis peaks ta end distantseerima tervest erakonnast.
Ja mis huvitav, kui Otsalt nuhkis juba oma rivaali järele politseis, tema asendaja järele Lõuna prefektuuris, siis võib vaid oletada, milliseid poliitilisi tellimusi on Otsalt täitnud varem.
Otsalti asi toodi välja praegu ilmselt seetõttu, et selleks oli nö pind ette valmistatud. Ja võimalik, et ta teadis sellest ise ette. Sest mõni aeg tagasi tõsteti esile poliitilise konkurendi, Keskerakonnaga seotud nuhkimise asi- seoses Alice Järvetiga, kes oli juhtumisi asunud kokku elama ühe tuntud keskerakondlasega ja keda oli seetõttu kerge tanki visata. Järveti vallandamise järel avaldati arvamust, et sellise keisi nagu Järveti vastu saaks püsti panna iga jumala politseiametniku kohta. Ja oma ametipositsiooni tõttu pääses Järvet ligi vaid teisejärgulisele infole, a la Rapla prefekt. Ning, nagu on kuulda, esitas tema peale kaebuse hoopis üks endine prostituut, kes olla ka näiteks kadunud Ando Kesküla vastu tunnistusi andnud. Ilmselt selline tegelane, kes võib tunnistada, mida iganes, kui selle eest makstakse.
Ja loomulikult polnud juhuslik, et Reformi tähtsa toetaja Otsalti vahistamine langes samale päevale Villu Reiljani kohtuotsusega. Sest, Otsalti kamraadid võeti kinni juba mitu nädalat tagasi. Ja mis takistas Otsaltit nendega koos kinni nabimast. Aga siis oli vaikne aeg, Otsalti asi oleks liiga välja paistnud, liiga palju Reformile kahju teinud. Ilmselt kauples Reform siin Pihli käest teatud teene välja, ja Pihl sai loomulikult vastu ka lubadusi, näiteks selle, et Reform toetab teda presidendiks valimisel.
Seega võib tõesti väita, nii nagu Pihl ka ütles, et Otsalti vahistamisel pole otsest seost praeguse valitsuskriisiga. See on nagunii torm veeklaasis. Olemasolev valitsus jätkab, lihtsalt sotsid lülitatakse formaalselt välja, et nad valimistel oma saagist ilma ei jääks. Ja tuuakse ilmselt mingil hetkel tagasi. Rahvale etendatakse näitemängu sellest, kuidas otsitakse teisi partnereid, käivad läbirääkimised, pakutakse korralikku šõud, kus on dramaatikat ja eufooriat. Selline konstrueeritud tüli ja näitemäng enne valimisi vasak- ja parempoolsete, sotside ning IRLi-Reformi vahel.
Aga üks asi on Otsalti vahistamisega selge: Reformi ülemvõim hakkab vaikselt murduma. Ja seda näitavad lähenevad valimised, kui palju see võib edasi murduda.

On February 12th last,Colgan Air flioght 3407 from Newark crashed into the Wielinski´s house just short of the runwa´y in Buffalo,New York,killing all 49 on board and Douglas Wialinski.Just under five months earlier,the collapse of Lehman Brothers signalled a calamitous nosedive for the global economy.
The US National Transportation Safety Board(NTSB)investigation into the Buffalo crash has focused on pilot error.There is no equivalent body charged with forensically investigating global economic crashes,so we are left with informed commentators.While they lack any mandate to issue binding curative regulations,they can at least point us in the right general direction.
All agree that this recession will,eventually,end.A few would like to believe it will bottom out this year;others talk of 2010,or later.
Nobel Prize-winning economist Paul Krugman told a forum in Taipei last Thursday that he was"very optimistic about the world in,let´s say,2030;it´s the next 10 years or so that have me worried".

The key role of stock markets should be to make capital available to those with ideas for profitable goods and services.The rewards for those who provide the capital should rise in line with the degree of risk involved.State bonds provide low returns,while investments in new businesses promise a higher one.
Somewhere along the line,this logic became perverted.It became more attractive for businesses to increase their market shares by taking over their competitors,rather than by developing better products to achieve higher sales and returns on investment.

Mark Rosenker,acting chairman of the NTSB,told a hearing in Washington last Wednesday that passengers on flight 3407 were"entitled to an extremely well-qualified and fit"
aircrew,something they didn´t get.
Colgan Air vice-president Harry Mitchel admitted that while the firm offered cost-of-living adjustments for managers to live near workplaces,it had no such programme for pilots.
