The real reason behind Schibsted's great downfall in the Baltics

Bonnier's Äripäev reported that media group Schibsted that's aspiring to become Europe's most attractive media group has suffered a great downfall in profits in the Baltics, crashing from 38 million to a meagre 14 million. What could be the reason, one wonders.

The talk of the town in Tallinn is that the great fall is the result of Schibsted's CEO Kjell Aamot's and his boyfriend Sverre Munck's no-holds-barred partying in Tallinn. "Yes, Kjell and Sverre are regulars at a very notorious nightclub in Tallinn," a source says. "I even partied with the guys once and boy, were they drunk. Kjell had a small suitcase with him, he said that it was Schibsted's money and he offered to buy drinks to the whole bar. Sverre was trying to drag him away but the guy just wouldn't listen. I think he's suffering from some kind of a meltdown."

Another source adds that when it was wee hours and the bar was closing, Kjell and Sverre were desperately looking for their suitcase. It was lost and they were going beserk. "When i asked them what was wrong, Sverre, the responsible one, told me that there were some securities of Schibsted in the case and they couldn't afford to lose them. Well, we tried to help them but the suitcase was nowhere to be found. The guys ordered some drinks to go and mumbled something about the shareholders not having to know anything about it."

So the real reason behind Schibsted's loss is not some abstract economic recession, like they try to convince us, but in fact some serious partyin' in gay-friendly Tallinn. Schibsted's shareholders can only hope that Kjell and Sverre will shape up or the company will lose all its assets in the Baltics. Definitely NOT an attractive perspective!
